How to run high-definition audio to the receiver.?
I have a D965 STR-32LD350 and Sony receiver. I want to run audio my TV speakers for the receiver. There is no headphone jack, and I tried to buy a cable male-male and a split of connecting the headphone output of my receiver, but I have no audio. The TV shows only optical digital audio output and a headphone output. How can I connect my TV to receiver for audio I'm running the speakers connected to the same receiver?
If you use one of these cables to your TV's headphone jack to an input on the back of your receiver (CD, LD, ribbon, etc. ..), it should work. Consider the output of the headphone jack is controlled by the volume control on the TV and you should find a place for it that sounds best for you.
